London is the capital city of England and the United Kingdom and one of the best known and most popular cities in the world. Despite the impression of being a concrete jungle, London is renowned for its' green space and is often called "The Green City," in recognition of the large number of open spaces. The largest of these in the central area are the Royal Parks of Hyde Park and its neighbour Kensington Gardens at the western edge of central London and Regent's Park on the northern edge.
